Jamocracy (the name is a pun for Jam and Democracy) is exactly that: A democratic voting system for Partys. Users can (either logged in with their own Spotify account or anonymously) add tracks and vote on them. The application will take care that the highest voted song is played next. Also the currently playing track can be vote-skipped if the biggest part of the crowd doesn't think it fits the partys vibe. The party owner can adjust various settings, allowing for a very much personalized experience. Also the application has a TV mode that shows the current and upcoming songs in a fancy way for large screens.
Yes! At least the party-host needs a Spotify-Premium account. The guests the other hand dont need a Spotify-Premium account to requests songs.
Yes! But unfortunately, there are Spotify Connect-enabled devices that do not allow third-party use as a source. These include devices from Sonos, for example.
